La Roche-sur-Yon stays top as Caen falls to sixth

La Roche-sur-Yon and Rouen strengthened their positions, while Caen dropped four places after losing at Fleury.

La Roche-sur-Yon remains in first place after recovering from last week’s defeat by Caen, while Rouen continues to apply pressure from behind. Caen suffered the round’s biggest setback, sliding four positions to sixth after its loss at Fleury. Versailles moved into third, with Amiens and Cannes also gaining ground.

La Roche-sur-Yon fell behind Aubagne when Tafni scored in the 16th minute, but turned the match around after the interval. Bangoura levelled in the 53rd minute, Allemand put the hosts ahead three minutes later and Mansour Samb completed the 3-1 victory in the 71st. Rouen beat Bourg-en-Bresse 2-0, with Bassin breaking the deadlock before Camara added the second late on.

Caen twice changed position on the scoreboard at Fleury but could not avoid defeat. Yoro Diaby restored parity in the 64th minute after the hosts had moved ahead, before Yanis Verdier settled the 3-2 match with his second goal in the 74th minute. Elsewhere, Versailles won at Valenciennes, Amiens defeated last-placed Villefranche 3-0 and Cannes beat QRM 3-1. Concarneau overcame Paris 13 Atletico 2-0, while Le Puy edged Thionville 1-0.
