Lorient recruit Srdjan Kuzmic in a €3m transfer
Lorient have signed Srdjan Kuzmic for €3 million as they prepare to face Estac Troyes in Ligue 1.
Lorient have signed Srdjan Kuzmic for €3 million, adding a new player to their squad during the opening phase of the 2026 Ligue 1 season. The transfer comes before Lorient’s next league fixture, when Estac Troyes visit on August 29.
Lorient are currently 10th in the Ligue 1 table after one match. They have one point from a 0-0 draw, leaving them with no wins and no defeats so far. Kuzmic therefore arrives while the club remains in the middle section of the early standings, with the season still at its opening stage.
The club’s wider recent form has been stronger. Lorient began that sequence with a 2-0 away win against Guingamp, followed by a 1-0 home victory over Nantes and a 2-1 success at Concarneau. They then lost 2-0 at home to Le Havre AC before responding with a 4-0 win away to Metz. Those results give Lorient four victories in their last five listed matches, alongside the defeat.
Kuzmic’s arrival is Lorient’s latest development before the Troyes match. The team will seek its first Ligue 1 victory of the campaign after opening with a draw, while the new signing joins a squad that has recorded convincing wins in its recent run. The next fixture will be played at Lorient on August 29.
