CAN Beach Soccer 2026 draw opens route to Dakar finals

The qualification route for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations Beach Soccer is now set, with the finals in Dakar guaranteed to feature Senegal and the teams that emerge from the qualifying ties. Morocco, Nigeria, Mozambique and Mauritania are among the countries in contention for a place in the tournament.

Senegal is already through as host and will defend the title it currently holds. The remaining seven places will be awarded through a two-stage process. Libya will meet Kenya in the preliminary round, while Mauritius will face Angola, with both ties scheduled for September. The winners will then enter the next phase against Morocco and Egypt respectively.

The second-round draw also produced five other ties, although the pairings were not specified. All seven second-round contests will be played over two legs. First legs are scheduled between 9 and 11 October, followed by return matches from 16 to 18 October.

The seven aggregate winners will join Senegal in Dakar, creating an eight-team final tournament. The host nation will seek to retain its continental crown on home sand, while the qualifying field will be completed through the October return fixtures.
