Cristiano Ronaldo’s place in Portugal’s squad has become uncertain after he missed the team’s training session in Copenhagen. The 41-year-old forward left the stadium in a vehicle belonging to the Portuguese federation just as his teammates began working on the pitch, following Jorge Jesus’ press conference.

The incident came after Ronaldo remained on the bench during Portugal’s 2-1 Nations League win over Norway. Although available for the match, he was not introduced and went straight to the dressing room at the final whistle instead of joining the squad in acknowledging the Portuguese supporters.

Jesus had told Ronaldo before the Norway match that he would not start but could be used later. The coach then reinforced his authority before the Denmark fixture, saying team decisions were his responsibility and that the same rules applied to every player, regardless of status or career achievements.

Ronaldo’s departure from the stadium has intensified speculation that he could leave the Portugal camp.
