France lead TV ratings after 4-1 Belgium victory

France’s 4-1 win over Belgium drew 6.33 million viewers to TF1, extending a strong Nations League audience run.

France’s renewed appeal is giving TF1 a clear advantage in the television market. The national team’s latest Nations League appearance was the most watched programme on Monday evening, extending the strong audience momentum surrounding the team’s revival and the wider “Zinedine Zidane effect”.

France’s 4-1 victory over Belgium averaged 6.33 million viewers, representing a 33% share among people aged four and above. TF1 recorded a 34.6% share among women responsible for household purchases under 50, while its figure reached 44.2% among viewers aged 25 to 49. The previous France-Belgium meeting attracted 6.39 million viewers, while the win over Turkey drew 6.82 million. France’s 1-1 game against Italy reached 7.17 million and a 41% share. The previous Nations League edition averaged five million viewers.

M6 was the nearest competitor with “L’amour est dans le pré”, whose two parts drew 3.21 million and 2.64 million viewers. France 2’s “Les Aventurières” finished third with 1.51 million, while France 3’s film “Mes Héros” attracted 1.31 million. The gap confirms that the France team remains the dominant television draw during this international break.
