Gulf Football Union renews commitment to fair Gulf Cup
The Gulf Football Union says Gulf Cup 27 is being managed transparently, with ticket and broadcast changes made after requests.
The Gulf Football Union has renewed its pledge to fairness and transparency as Saudi Arabia hosts Gulf Cup 27, saying the tournament is being run through clear institutional procedures. Technical, organisational and financial operations are being managed in continued coordination with the local organising committee, with the union’s experienced committees applying approved regulations and standards.
The union said the initial ticket structure had been approved during preparations in consultation with the Saudi committee. After the organisers requested lower prices, the revised rates were approved and introduced. It also said the same criteria are applied to every Gulf Cup host country and city, with the aim of presenting the competition at a level that reflects the tournament’s history and the host’s organisational capabilities.
Television production was assigned to IMG, with technical requirements for each stadium prepared before the tournament. When the organising committee requested more cameras after competition began, the union covered the additional costs rather than passing them to the local organisers. Broadcasting rights were made available to nine regional and Gulf channels or platforms and six international broadcasters, extending coverage to Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia and parts of the Balkans. The union also urged accurate handling of tournament information and reference to its official channels for relevant details.
