João Neves brings charity supplies to PSG training

The PSG midfielder arrived in a utility van carrying hundreds of items for charities supported by the club foundation.

João Neves used an unusual arrival at Paris Saint-Germain’s training centre to deliver hundreds of items and supplies for charities supported by the PSG Foundation. The Portugal midfielder drove a utility van into the Campus PSG in Poissy, rather than the luxury cars commonly seen there, turning a routine training-day appearance into a charitable operation.

The 21-year-old stopped to meet supporters outside the centre, signing autographs and taking selfies before joining the club environment. The gesture adds to Neves’ visible connection with activities away from football since his move from Benfica to PSG in the 2024-25 season.

Neves had also attended a French Cup handball match in Eaubonne on Sunday. He watched Elite Val-d’Oise face C’Chartres Métropole from among the spectators, supporting his cousin André Garcias José, who plays centre-back for Chartres. Neves played handball himself before establishing a football career, making the visit both a family occasion and a return to a sport from his youth.

At PSG, Neves is a central midfielder and a Portugal international. He joined from Benfica in a transfer valued at €65.92 million and is listed with the club at a market value of €140 million.
