Lens-Lorient set for Ligue 1 broadcast on September 5

Lens host Lorient on September 5 at 17:15, with the Ligue 1 fixture live on Ligue 1+ 2 and available via DAZN.

Lens will host Lorient in the third round of Ligue 1 on Saturday, September 5, with the fixture scheduled for 17:15 at the Stade Bollaert. The match will be broadcast live and exclusively on Ligue 1+ 2, the league’s rights-holding channel, and viewers will also be able to access it through DAZN.

The early league positions give Lens the stronger starting point. The northern club are second with three points from one match, while Lorient are 10th with one point after their opening game. A result at home would allow Lens to consolidate their place among the leading teams at the start of the campaign, whereas Lorient are looking to improve their position in the table.

Lens have recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat in their five listed matches before the fixture. Their results include victories over Boulogne, Nice and Lyon, a 2-2 draw with Charleroi and a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain. Lorient’s recent record is also positive, with wins against Guingamp, Nantes, Concarneau and Metz either side of a defeat by Le Havre. That form has not yet translated into a high league position after one match.

The fixture is part of the Ligue 1 third round and will be available through the Ligue 1+ offer on DAZN. The match listing places Lens at home, with Lorient seeking points that would lift them from 10th and Lens aiming to maintain their early advantage over the chasing teams.
