Moussa Ndiaye joins Werder Bremen on 2026-27 loan
The Senegal left-back leaves Anderlecht for Werder Bremen with an option to buy after his spell at Schalke.
Moussa Ndiaye will continue his development in Germany after joining Werder Bremen from Anderlecht on loan for the 2026-27 season. The agreement includes an option for the Bundesliga club to sign the Senegalese left-back permanently.
The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season with Schalke 04 in the 2. Bundesliga, where he made 14 appearances and supplied two assists. Schalke wanted to keep him, but Ndiaye will instead move to another German club after his latest spell away from Anderlecht. The former Barça Atlètic player is under contract with the Belgian side until 2028.
The move gives Ndiaye the opportunity to play in the Bundesliga and build on his experience in German football. Werder see him as a defender who can compete strongly in duels while also contributing in attack. His ability to judge when to hold his position and when to move forward was also identified as an asset by coach Daniel Thioune, who has Senegalese roots.
Ndiaye had featured for Anderlecht at the start of the campaign, including domestic league matches and Europa League qualifying games against PAOK and Hammarby. At Werder, he will now compete for playing time on the left and attempt to make the loan permanent.
