Paul Seixas remains France's top-ranked rider during Vuelta

Paul Seixas remains France’s leading rider in the latest UCI road rankings, even though he is not competing in the Vuelta. His position confirms the standing he built with a fourth-place finish at the 2026 Tour de France, his first appearance in the race, and keeps the Decathlon-CMA CGM leader among the sport’s leading names.

The Lyon-born rider is fifth with 4,800.71 points. Tadej Pogacar continues to lead on 11,321.75, ahead of Remco Evenepoel on 7,356.61. Jonas Vingegaard is third with 6,866.39, while Isaac Del Toro occupies fourth on 6,603.46. The top five positions are unchanged in the update.

Seixas still has a narrow advantage over the riders behind him, although the next places have shifted. Jasper Philipsen moved up to sixth, overtaking Tom Pidcock. Lenny Martinez also gained ground, rising from 10th to ninth, while Felix Gall advanced one place behind him. Mathieu van der Poel suffered the largest slide among the leading riders, falling from ninth to 14th with 2,740.62 points. The Vuelta began on August 22 and is scheduled to finish on September 13, with Pogacar seeking a second major stage-race victory after the Tour.
