Spain lead Czech Republic into Nations League test
Spain bring two wins from two and top Group 3 before facing the Czech Republic in Oviedo.
Spain meet the Czech Republic as the only team with a perfect record in Nations League Group 3, placing them at the top of League A after two rounds. The fixture takes place in Oviedo, where kick-off is set for 20:45.
Luis de la Fuente has significantly changed his starting side for the match, making nine alterations from the team that began Spain’s 4-1 victory over Croatia in Seville on Tuesday. Lamine Yamal and Baena are the two players who keep their places. Spain’s line-up includes David Raya in goal, with Fresneda, Le Normand, Aymeric Laporte and Fran García in defence.
Rodri, Pedri and Dani Olmo are selected in midfield, while Yamal, Baena and Roberto complete the Spanish attack. The Czech Republic start with Kinsky behind a defence of Sacek, Chaloupek, Krejčí and Sláma. Král, Ambros and Macek are named in midfield, with Radosta, Lingr and Hlozek forming the forward line.
Spain’s strong start follows an opening win over Croatia before Tuesday’s convincing return home. The two victories have left the team alone at the summit, while the Czech Republic now face the leaders in the third round of Group 3. Spain will then play Croatia again in Split after this fixture.
