Teungueth FC face Cameroon’s Colombe in CAF second round

Teungueth FC will meet Cameroonian champions Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo in the CAF Champions League second round.

Teungueth FC will face Colombe Sportive du Dja et Lobo in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, setting up a meeting with the reigning champions of Cameroon. The Rufisque club has advanced after overcoming FC Canchungo and now faces another step in its continental campaign.

Teungueth secured its first-round qualification with two 1-0 victories over Canchungo. Colombe reached the same stage after a 0-0 draw in each leg against Stade Malien, then won the deciding shootout 4-3. The first leg between Teungueth and Colombe is scheduled for October 16-18, with the return match set for October 23-25.

The Senegalese side enters the tie as the 2025 Ligue 1 leader, finishing with 54 points from 30 matches. Its record was 13 wins, 15 draws and two defeats, with 21 goals scored and six conceded. That defensive strength has also carried into its recent run: Teungueth has won three and drawn two of its last five league matches, conceding no goals across those games.

The tie will test whether Teungueth can turn that consistency into progress against a Cameroonian champion that also came through a tightly contested opening round.
