Adil Hamdani left off Lyon's Europa League A list

Adil Hamdani will not be part of Lyon’s List A for the Europa League league phase, but the academy player has been registered on List B. His omission from the club’s main squad list does not remove him from Lyon’s European plans, as he remains available through the secondary registration category.

Lyon published its European squad after failing to reach the Champions League. The French club was eliminated by Fenerbahce in the qualifying play-off tie and will instead continue its continental campaign in the Europa League. Hamdani is the only academy player identified as being on List B, while Steeve Kango and Rémi Himbert are included on List A.

The squad reflects the changes made during the summer transfer window. New arrivals Loïs Openda, Keito Nakamura and Mads Bidstrup are all registered for the league phase. Lyon has also relied on academy players to provide additional squad depth within the UEFA registration rules. The List A defenders include Nicolás Tagliafico, Zachary Athekame, Abner Vinicius, Moussa Niakhaté, Felix Bacher, Ruben Kluivert, Clinton Mata, Kango, Mohamed Ouédraogo and Noham Kamara. The midfield and attack groups include Bidstrup, Tanner Tessmann, Corentin Tolisso, Pavel Šulc, Khalis Merah, Tyler Morton, Julien Duranville, Noah Nartey, Ernest Nuamah, Nakamura, Openda, Kail Boudache and Himbert.
