Ama Baldé and Lac de Guiers 2 bout set for April 2027

Ama Baldé will face Lac de Guiers 2 on April 4, 2027, giving both wrestlers a major date in Pikine.

Ama Baldé’s return to Senegalese wrestling has been given a fixed date, with the Pikine wrestler set to face Lac de Guiers 2 in a bout that will test whether he can recover from his latest defeat. The contest also comes ahead of another major assignment already scheduled for him later in 2027.

Promoter Al Bourakh has confirmed the fight for Sunday, April 4, 2027, at the Arène nationale de Pikine. It will be Ama Baldé’s first recorded bout since February 2025, when the Falaye Baldé stable wrestler lost his most recent contest.

Lac de Guiers 2 arrives with the stronger recent record. The Walo wrestler has won five consecutive fights since 2019, including victories over Pikine opponents Eumeu Sène and Boy Niang 2, as well as two younger wrestlers. That run gives him the clearest form advantage entering the meeting.

Ama Baldé will have the chance to respond after putting his legal disputes behind him, but the schedule leaves little time for rest. Around two months after facing Lac de Guiers 2, he is due to meet Reug Reug on June 6, 2027. The April bout will therefore be both a comeback opportunity and an important measure of his readiness for the second challenge.
