Mouhamed Lamine Ndiaye joins Le Havre on three-year deal

Mouhamed Lamine Ndiaye has signed for Le Havre after a trial, adding a young Senegalese defender to the club’s squad.

Le Havre have secured the signing of Senegalese defender Mouhamed Lamine Ndiaye after a trial period, adding a young central defender to their squad through June 2029. The move gives the Normandy club another option at the back after Arouna Sangante left during the summer.

Ndiaye, 21, agreed a three-year contract with Le Havre after spending several weeks being assessed by the club’s staff. He will wear the number 97 shirt. His recruitment comes as Le Havre look to strengthen their defensive group at the start of the campaign.

The defender began his development at Guédiawaye FC in Senegal before moving to AS Saint-Étienne in 2023. He later continued his career in Portugal with Alverca, where he spent the previous year. That path has now taken him to Ligue 1, with Le Havre becoming his latest step in professional football.

Le Havre opened the season with two 1-1 draws, against Monaco and Lyon. Ndiaye joins as the club continues to build its squad, bringing experience of football in Senegal, France and Portugal despite his young age. His immediate challenge will be to establish himself within the first-team defensive structure after earning the club’s confidence during his trial.
