Amine Harit explains Marseille connection with Gouiri

Amine Harit says his growing understanding with Amine Gouiri is helping shape Marseille’s attacking play. The pair have developed a strong connection since the start of the season, with Harit describing their relationship as natural and based on similar ideas about football.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday before Marseille’s trip to Rennes, Harit said he and Gouiri regularly find each other on the pitch. He acknowledged offering his team-mate constructive feedback on some situations, but said there had been no significant disagreement between them. Both players, he added, are focused on making decisive contributions.

Harit also highlighted Gouiri’s instinct for the game and his willingness to remain available to teammates. He said the forward’s confidence had returned after his consistent record of scoring, while their shared understanding allowed them to combine without forcing the connection.

Bruno Genesio has also been pleased with the partnership. He considers Harit capable of operating on either flank, behind the striker, deeper in midfield or centrally, and said the player is currently providing satisfaction on the right. Genesio views the Harit-Gouiri pairing as relatively new, but believes both possess exceptional technical quality and football intelligence. Their coordination is still developing, with further positional understanding to establish.
