Anthony Jelonch draws more Top 14 interest at Toulouse

Anthony Jelonch’s possible departure from Stade Toulousain now has another potential destination, with Vannes joining the group of Top 14 clubs interested in the France international. The Toulouse back-rower is due to reach the end of his contract next summer, leaving the five-time French champion with a growing decision over his future.

Castres and Clermont had already emerged as possible options for the 30-year-old. Vannes has since entered the picture and moved quickly, with the club’s president contacting Jelonch’s agent to ask about the player’s financial expectations and the conditions for a move to Brittany.

That initial approach reportedly showed Vannes that signing Jelonch would be beyond the club’s budget. The promoted side’s interest therefore appears difficult to pursue, while Castres and Clermont remain possible suitors. Castres would offer Jelonch a return to the club where he began his professional career.

Jelonch has not ruled out staying in Toulouse. That outcome would depend on Stade Toulousain presenting him with a new contract, but no renewal proposal has emerged so far. The midfielder’s next move remains open, with his salary demands and Toulouse’s intentions likely to shape the competition for his signature.
