Barcelona meet Athletic Bilbao on DAZN and Disney+

Barcelona’s second Liga match will be available live on DAZN and Disney+ when the defending champions host Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou on Thursday 27 August. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00, with the fixture giving Barcelona the chance to build on the strong start that placed them in a better early position than their opponents.

Barcelona began the campaign with a 5-0 win over Elche. Raphinha impressed in the attacking display, while Fermin Lopez scored twice and new arrival Karim Adeyemi added another goal. The result established Barcelona’s early form, although Gavi left the match after picking up an injury and was replaced by Pedri. The club later described the problem as a simple muscular contusion. Rodri could also make his first appearance for the Catalan side.

Athletic Bilbao have less positive momentum after losing 3-1 away to Sevilla in their opening match. Their task became more difficult when Yuri Berchiche received a direct red card in the 11th minute. That defeat leaves Athletic looking for their first points, while Barcelona enter the meeting after a five-goal victory.
