Fiona Ferro returns to WTA top 100 after five years
Fiona Ferro has climbed back into the WTA top 100, reaching 100th after a strong run of results.
Fiona Ferro is back among the world's 100 best-ranked players, nearly five years after she last held a place in that group. The return marks another step in the Frenchwoman's revival after a long period outside the rankings' leading positions.
Ferro moved up five places to 100th in the WTA standings published on Monday, 19 October 2026, with 740 points. The 29-year-old reached the quarter-finals in Lisbon last week, adding another useful result to a strong recent run. She had won the WTA 125 tournament in Montreux in September, after also taking the ITF title at Saint-Palais-sur-Mer and reaching finals in Palermo and Huchinguen. Her best career ranking remains 39th.
Ferro had last been inside the top 100 on 25 October 2021, when she reached the semi-finals in Lyon earlier in the season and later made the last four at the Santa Fe ITF event before retiring in the deciding set. Her latest rise places her level with the cut-off for the top 100 and makes her the fourth Frenchwoman listed in the supplied rankings. Diane Parry remains France's leading player despite dropping two places to 34th, while Anna Blinkova rises to 72nd and Leolia Jeanjean to 92nd. The top 10 is unchanged, led by Elena Rybakina.
