France face Belgium in Nations League second round

France can strengthen its start under Zinédine Zidane with another Nations League victory when it visits Belgium in the competition’s second round on Monday. Both teams opened their campaigns with wins, leaving them on three points before the meeting in Brussels.

France began Zidane’s tenure with a 1-0 victory in Turkey on Friday, while Belgium recorded a 2-0 success away to Italy. The result at the King Baudouin Stadium will therefore determine which side maintains its perfect record after two matches.

France will be without Kylian Mbappé, who sustained a knee injury against Turkey and has been ruled out for the remainder of the international window. Zidane has indicated that he will make several changes as he looks to use more of his squad across the four scheduled matches.

Désiré Doué could replace Mbappé in a central attacking role, with Bradley Barcola potentially starting on the flank. Eduardo Camavinga is also in contention to begin in midfield. Zidane has placed particular emphasis on coordinated high pressing since taking charge, making Belgium the next test of that approach. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45.
