Inter stay perfect while Napoli fall at home to Como
Inter moved onto six points after two wins, while Napoli suffered a home defeat and remain on three points.
Inter Milan have preserved their perfect start to the Serie A season, while Napoli’s early campaign suffered a setback at home to Como. The champions remain among the teams with a 100 per cent record after two rounds, whereas Napoli have one win and one defeat.
Inter defeated Cagliari 1-0 to reach six points, joining Milan, Juventus and Lazio at the top of the standings. Hakan Calhanoglu settled the match in the ninth minute with a low strike from outside the box. Cagliari goalkeeper Elia Caprile kept the margin down with several saves, while Yann Bisseck made an important defensive intervention to deny Michel Adopo a possible equaliser.
Napoli fell 2-1 to Como at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium and remain on three points. Martin Baturina put the visitors ahead in the 17th minute, but Rasmus Hojlund levelled 13 minutes later with a low finish from the edge of the area. Como regained the lead four minutes after that when Tasos Douvikas capitalised on a defensive mistake involving Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
Massimiliano Allegri made three changes shortly after half-time, but Cesc Fabregas’s side protected its advantage to claim a first victory of the season and move to four points. Lazio also made it two wins from two by beating Genoa 1-0, with Davide Frattesi scoring in the 25th minute.
