Justin Ehikioya Ejodamen attracts European interest

The 15-year-old Dortmund midfielder is drawing attention from Barcelona, Juventus, Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund is preparing to protect one of its most promising young players as leading European clubs track Justin Ehikioya Ejodamen. Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan are monitoring the midfielder, while Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested. Dortmund wants to extend his commitment before the competition for his signature intensifies.

Ejodamen is 15, was born in Italy on 19 April 2011 and plays for Dortmund’s Under-16 side. A right-footed central midfielder, he has earned comparisons with former Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, leading to the nickname “the new Bellingham”. His technical ability, physical strength, composure and maturity have helped him produce a series of strong performances at youth level.

The teenager already represents Italy at Under-16 level, although he remains eligible to play for Germany or Nigeria. He also attracted attention at the RondOm BZS Youth Trophy Cup in the Netherlands, where he scored from the halfway line. Puma has equipped him since he was very young, adding to the profile of a player Dortmund intends to develop over the coming years.

The timing of any approach will depend on the club involved. Teams from European Union countries can act when Ejodamen turns 16, while English clubs cannot recruit him until he reaches 18. That leaves Dortmund facing a period of growing interest around a player it views as a long-term asset.
