L’Equipe du Soir shifts to a four-night schedule

L’Equipe du Soir will air from Tuesday to Friday, with a refreshed panel and new contributors.

L’Equipe du Soir is being reduced to four weekly broadcasts as L’Equipe reshapes its evening schedule. The programme, hosted by Olivier Ménard, will no longer appear on Mondays or Sundays, while its debate and analysis format is set for a refreshed lineup.

The show will run from Tuesday to Friday, between 22:50 and 00:30. The change reflects the channel’s decision to focus on the evenings it considers stronger after identifying less productive audience slots. L’Equipe du Soir remains centred on football discussion and analysis, but the revised formula is also intended to bring more humour and emotion to the programme.

Several familiar contributors will leave, including former France internationals Johan Micoud and Eric Blanc. Heloïse Kane and Nicole Abar will join the panel as part of the overhaul. The wider schedule will also see France Pierron return with L’Equipe de Choc from 17:00, followed by Grégory Ascher presenting L’Equipe de Greg from 18:30 until 21:10.

The first audience figures for the revised L’Equipe du Soir are due on Wednesday morning, providing the initial measure of how the new schedule and panel have been received.
