Mady Touré and Abdoulaye Fall signal FSF truce

A meeting between Mady Touré and Abdoulaye Fall has raised the possibility of a calmer relationship within Senegalese football after months of tension linked to the federation’s presidential election. The encounter brought the two leaders together in a setting that could open the way to a broader rapprochement.

The meeting took place during the final of the Dakar League, where league president Mamadou Niang Mbaye helped bring the pair together. Their presence side by side was viewed as a significant sign after Touré challenged the election that gave Fall the presidency of the Senegalese Football Federation.

Touré had taken the dispute to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, contesting the result. The sports tribunal later sent the case back to the FSF Appeals Commission, which had previously ruled that it lacked jurisdiction over the matter.

That procedural development has coincided with visible signs of reduced hostility between the two camps. Any lasting understanding between Fall and Touré would help ease internal pressure on Senegalese football as the federation faces several challenges in the months ahead.
