Mouhamed Dabo starts Al-Khor spell with Qatar defeat
The Senegalese midfielder played the full match as Al-Khor opened their Qatar second-tier campaign with a 3-0 loss.
Mouhamed Dabo began his loan spell at Al-Khor with a full appearance, but the Senegalese midfielder could not prevent his new team from losing their opening Qatar second-tier fixture. The result leaves Al-Khor without a point after the first round of the season.
Dabo was named in the starting XI against Al-Markhiya and remained on the pitch for the entire match. Al-Khor were beaten 3-0, making his first competitive outing in Qatar a difficult one despite the immediate trust shown by the coaching staff. The midfielder was unable to help his side avoid a heavy opening defeat.
The player, who belongs to Be Sport, joined Al-Shamal of the Qatar top flight before moving to Al-Khor on loan for the season. The temporary switch gives him an opportunity to play regularly while continuing his adjustment to Qatari football. His 90-minute debut provides an early indication that he will be involved in Al-Khor’s campaign.
Al-Khor will have a chance to respond in their next league match against Al-Kharaitiyat on 30 August. That fixture will offer Dabo and his teammates an opportunity to pursue their first points of the season after the setback against Al-Markhiya.
