Nantes: Killian Corredor must wait for his return
Nantes will be without leading scorer Killian Corredor again when they travel to Sochaux on Saturday.
Nantes will face Sochaux without their leading scorer Killian Corredor, extending the forward’s absence to a third consecutive match. Grégory Poirier confirmed that the attacker, who is recovering from a hamstring problem, will not be included for the trip to Bonal. Fabien Centonze and Alexis Mirbach are also unavailable.
Corredor has scored twice this season and remains Nantes’ most productive player. His continued absence leaves the club without a key part of its attacking combinations, although Thomas Robinet has provided an immediate alternative. The former Dunkerque player arrived late in the transfer window and scored in his first start against Nancy.
That victory gave Nantes their first success of the campaign and their first clean sheet, allowing them to move off the bottom of the table. It also offered Poirier clearer signs after an unsettled opening to the season, but the squad still has limited room for changes before the sixth round.
Poirier must now decide whether to retain Robinet or use another attacking option while Corredor continues his recovery. Nantes will need to manage the forward’s return carefully rather than risk bringing him back before he is fully ready.
