Omari Kellyman joins Strasbourg after Cardiff loan
Omari Kellyman joins Strasbourg after a Cardiff City season in which he scored 11 goals in 42 appearances.
Omari Kellyman is now a Strasbourg player, adding a young English midfielder with a full season of senior football in Wales. His move to Alsace follows a campaign in which he became a regular for Cardiff City while on loan from Chelsea.
Kellyman played 42 matches in all competitions for Cardiff during the 2025-26 season. Thirty-six of those appearances came in League One, and he finished the campaign with 11 goals and two assists. Those figures represent the most extensive first-team experience of his career so far.
Born in Derby in 2005, Kellyman spent a decade at Derby County before moving to Aston Villa in 2022. He made his senior debut for Villa at 17 in August 2023, providing an assist against Hibernian in the UEFA Conference League. He went on to feature six times for the first team, including two Premier League appearances, and also played seven matches for England Under-19s.
Kellyman joined Chelsea in the summer of 2024 and was subsequently sent to Cardiff for the 2025-26 season. Strasbourg now become the latest step in his progression from Derby’s academy to a broader senior role.
