Reims face Annecy as Ligue 2 win remains elusive

Reims will try to end their wait for a Ligue 2 victory when they welcome Annecy on Monday evening. The Champagne club entered the 2026-27 campaign determined to recover from last spring’s failure to secure an immediate return to Ligue 1, but their opening results have not matched that ambition.

Reims began with a 0-0 draw against Clermont and then conceded three times in a 3-3 draw at Dunkerque. Those results leave them without a win after two matches. Annecy have taken the opposite route, defeating Pau 1-0 and Rodez 2-0 to move into fourth place with two victories from two games. The meeting therefore gives Reims an early chance to close the gap on one of the division’s fastest starters.

Hülßmann is expected to start in goal for Reims, with Mambuku, N’Tamon, Kotto and Guindo in defence. Fofana, Otomewo and Leoni form the midfield, while Daramy, Soumano and El Kachati are listed in attack. Annecy’s selected side features Escales behind Delphis, Veillon, Drouhin and Kouadio. Larose, Kashi, Venot and Jusseron are set to operate in midfield, with Sahi named forward.
