Sadio Mané seals Al-Nassr's third straight league win

Sadio Mané scored twice late as Al-Nassr came from two goals down to beat Al-Ettifaq 3-2.

Sadio Mané’s late double kept Al-Nassr’s winning run intact in the Saudi Pro League, with the Senegal international turning a two-goal deficit into a 3-2 victory at Al-Ettifaq. The result gives Al-Nassr three wins from three matches and marks Mané’s first goals of the new league season.

Al-Nassr trailed 2-0 deep into the second half before beginning its recovery. Mané reduced the deficit in the 74th minute after João Félix found him with a pass into space. The forward then completed the comeback in the 90th minute, scoring again in a move similar to his first goal and securing all three points for his team.

The win continues an unbeaten opening for Ange Postecoglou’s side, which had already taken two victories from its first two league fixtures. Those earlier results had come with less difficulty, but Al-Nassr needed a late response on this occasion after Al-Ettifaq established control of the scoreline. Mané’s intervention changed the outcome in the closing stages and gave the club a third consecutive victory.

For Mané, the performance provides an immediate impact after a quiet start in front of goal. He had contributed to Al-Nassr’s attacking play before finding the net, then delivered twice when the match appeared to be moving toward an Al-Ettifaq win. His second goal ensured that Al-Nassr maintained its winning form after a match in which it had been two goals behind for much of the closing period.
