Schalke 04 claim first win as Dina Ebimbe features

Schalke 04 secured their first Bundesliga victory of the 2026/27 season and climbed to seventh place after beating Union Berlin away. The win leaves the club with four points from three matches, following one victory, one draw and one defeat. It came after Schalke held Bayern Munich to a draw the previous weekend.

Schalke took control at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei through Robin Gosens, who opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Adil Aouchiche extended the advantage immediately after the interval, putting the visitors 2-0 ahead in the 46th minute. Union Berlin pulled one back through Tim Skarke six minutes into added time, but Maximilian Wöber restored Schalke’s two-goal margin seven minutes later to complete the 3-1 result.

Dina Ebimbe began the match among Schalke’s substitutes before entering in the 21st minute after Dejan Ljubičić was injured. The Cameroon international was used for 69 minutes and recorded 50 touches, receiving a rating of 6.8. His appearance came as Schalke’s attacking pressure increased, helping the visitors maintain their advantage before the late exchange of goals.
