Warren Bondo draws Ligue 1 interest before Milan decision

Warren Bondo is wanted by several Ligue 1 clubs, with Troyes seeking a loan and the player favouring a return to France.

Warren Bondo could be heading back to Ligue 1, with several French clubs pursuing the AC Milan midfielder as the transfer window reaches its final day. The 22-year-old is understood to prefer a move to France, while Milan would rather send him to Sassuolo.

Bondo joined Milan in January 2025 after an impressive first half of the season with Monza in Serie A. Troyes are seeking a loan for the player, having sold Sankhoun Diawara to the Italian club this summer. Brest have also entered the race, while Lille and Rennes had shown interest earlier in the window. Monaco have been offered the former France Under-20 international and are considering his profile.

A move to Monaco depends partly on the club’s outgoing business. The Principality side must first sell Lamine Camara, although there is no agreement with Chelsea. Another midfielder, Maxence Caqueret, has been proposed to Monaco, but Como are not currently planning to release him. Mexican international Erik Lira is also reported to be close to Monaco, though his arrival depends on Folarin Balogun leaving.

Bondo began his career at Nancy before moving to Reggina in 2022. His preference for France gives the Ligue 1 contenders an advantage as Milan weighs the options for his next destination.
