Abu Dhabi Grand Prix set to close 2026 Formula 1 season
Abu Dhabi will host Formula 1’s 2026 finale from December 3 to 6 at Yas Marina Circuit.
Abu Dhabi will again provide the closing stage of the Formula 1 world championship, reinforcing the emirate’s role as a major international sports and tourism destination. The 2026 finale will combine the championship’s final race with entertainment, hospitality and visitor programmes across Yas Island.
The Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is scheduled for December 3 to 6 at Yas Marina Circuit. It will be the final round of the 2026 season, with Abu Dhabi hosting Formula 1 for the first time in 2009 and continuing as a fixture on the championship calendar.
Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali said preparations for the season-ending round were progressing in line with the plan and that the championship remained committed to its published schedule. Abu Dhabi Culture and Tourism Department official Saoud Al Hosani said the event reflected the emirate’s ability to attract major global sporting occasions while supporting tourism, hotels and the wider events sector.
Ethara chief executive Saif Rashid Al Nuaimi said work was advancing through cooperation with Formula 1 and local partners. Alongside the racing at Yas Marina, the programme will include concerts, entertainment activities and hospitality experiences, with spectators expected from around the world for the season’s concluding event.
