Aigles de la Médina face holders USFAS in 2026 qualifier

The Aigles de la Médina begin their route to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League final phase against the tournament’s defending zone champions, USFAS of Mali. The Senegalese champions will need a strong opening result to position themselves for a semi-final place in Group A.

The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. in Banjul, where the six-team UFOA/A qualifying tournament is being played. Aigles de la Médina, USFAS and Liberia’s Determine FC make up Group A, while Group B contains Gambia’s Berewuleng FC, Guinea’s AS Bolonta and Sierra Leone’s Mogbwemo Queens FC.

The group-stage outcome will determine the teams progressing to the semi-finals, with only one club from the regional competition earning a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League final phase. Former Senegal women’s national team coach Mame Moussa Cissé is involved with the Aigles de la Médina as they start their bid.

USFAS won the previous edition of the UFOA/A tournament in Dakar in August 2025 and subsequently represented the zone at the continental finals. Morocco’s AS FAR won that CAF Women’s Champions League final phase in Egypt in November 2025.
