AS Roma demands €100m to consider Manu Koné sale

AS Roma have set a minimum price of €100 million before considering offers for Manu Koné, making the France midfielder one of the club’s most protected assets. The stance reflects his strong opening to the season and Roma’s position at the top of Serie A.

Koné, 25, is under contract with the Italian club until June 2029. His market valuation rose from €50m to €60m during September, while his increasingly regular involvement with France has strengthened his standing among Europe’s leading clubs. The former Borussia Mönchengladbach player has therefore seen his value rise both through club form and international exposure.

Chelsea and Atlético Madrid were among the teams interested last summer, with the English club making an offer estimated at €60m. Roma turned down those approaches and now wants significantly more before opening talks over a transfer.

The Italian club also considers recent Premier League spending a reference point. Several players moved to English clubs this summer for fees around or above €100m, including Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernández, Ayyoub Bouaddi and Sandro Tonali. Roma’s position means any potential suitor for Koné will face a substantial financial demand.
