Emmanuel Meafou overtakes Antoine Dupont at Toulouse

Emmanuel Meafou has extended his Toulouse contract to 2032, giving him the club’s longest current deal.

Emmanuel Meafou has secured the longest contract currently held by a Stade Toulousain player, strengthening the club’s plans around one of its key forwards. The second-row player has ended uncertainty over his future by committing to Toulouse for several more seasons.

The 28-year-old France international is now tied to the club until 2032, one year beyond Antoine Dupont’s existing deal. Meafou therefore holds the furthest contractual deadline in the Toulouse squad. His power and ability to draw several defenders make him an important option in both the Top 14 and the Champions Cup.

The agreement follows weeks of negotiations and interest from other French clubs, including Stade Français, which had made a strong financial effort to recruit him. Meafou, who arrived in Toulouse in 2018 and developed there, has chosen to continue with the club where he reached the highest level of his career.

His renewal also gives Toulouse continuity as Thomas Ramos, François Cros and David Ainu’u are set to leave at the end of the season. Retaining Meafou preserves a major part of the team’s international core while the club manages those departures.
