Enzo Ebosse starts Udinese season with Como draw

Enzo Ebosse came off the bench as Udinese began their Serie A campaign with a 1-1 draw against Como.

Enzo Ebosse and Udinese began their Serie A campaign with a point, leaving the club fourth in the early standings after the opening round. The Cameroon international did not start the home match against Como, with coach Kosta Runjaic choosing to keep him among the substitutes.

Udinese took the lead in the 29th minute through Hassane Kamara. Como goalkeeper J. Butez had difficulty dealing with the attempt, allowing the hosts to move in front. The visitors levelled after the interval when Anastasios Douvikas scored the equaliser, leaving both teams with one point at the final whistle.

Ebosse entered for the second half and played 45 minutes. His contribution was mainly defensive, where he showed precision during his time on the pitch. He completed 76% of his passes and touched the ball 49 times, earning a rating of 6.6. His introduction did not alter the score, but it gave the Cameroon international an opening appearance as Udinese started the season with a draw.

The result places Udinese fourth for now, with the club’s first point secured at home. Ebosse will wait for the next selection decision from Runjaic as the team prepares to continue its campaign after a balanced opening fixture.
