
JBS de Krindjabo retain Children of Africa title in 2026
JBS de Krindjabo retained the 2026 Children of Africa Tournament title in Aboisso by beating Power Stars 5-0.
Jésus Bénit et Sauve of Krindjabo have retained the Children of Africa Tournament crown, winning the competition’s 10th edition in Aboisso. The success maintains the club’s position as champions after last year’s victory and gives the Krindjabo side back-to-back titles.
JBS defeated Power Stars of Ehania 5-0 in Saturday’s final, played on the Elleingand Etché square. Blé Blé Jean Daniel led the result for the champions, scoring four of their five goals as JBS controlled the decisive match.
The tournament, held with support from the Children of Africa Foundation, brings together children and young people from Aboisso, the Sud-Comoé region and other parts of Côte d’Ivoire. Its stated aims include youth development through football and the promotion of respect, tolerance, solidarity and peaceful coexistence.
Deputy director-general of taxes Aboubakari Cissé sponsored this edition. Sud-Comoé prefect Ibrahima Cissé said the event helps bring communities closer and strengthens social cohesion, while Foundation project leader Dr Jérôme Son highlighted its contribution to youth welfare and living together. The competition has become an annual sporting and social fixture for young people in the region.
