LOSC clarify Fernandez-Pardo and Bouaddi transfer plans
LOSC say Fernandez-Pardo is staying while Bouaddi’s move to Manchester City nears completion.
LOSC have drawn a clear line between the futures of Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Ayyoub Bouaddi. The club want to keep Fernandez-Pardo, while Bouaddi is nearing a move to Manchester City after a deal that still requires final details.
Sporting coordinator Sylvain Armand said Fernandez-Pardo remains central to Lille’s plans. The attacking player has three years left on his contract, and the club consider him important as they seek more attacking options alongside Olivier Giroud. A departure is not currently being considered, although the final week of the transfer window remains significant.
The situation is different for Bouaddi. Lille have prepared for his absence and say they did not take unnecessary risks in handling the midfielder’s departure. The move to Manchester City has advanced considerably, but it is not yet fully completed. Lille president Olivier Létang is expected to make the announcement when the remaining details are settled.
The transfer is valued at about €100 million including bonuses. Bouaddi has already said farewell to Lille supporters after the victory over SCO, pointing to the imminent end of his time at the club. For Fernandez-Pardo, however, Lille’s stated position is continued involvement rather than an exit.
