Mouhamed Dabo scores first Al-Khor goal in Qatar Ligue 2
Mouhamed Dabo opened his Al-Khor account, but the club fell to a second straight defeat in Qatar’s Ligue 2.
Mouhamed Dabo has opened his scoring account for Al-Khor, giving the Senegalese midfielder an early personal milestone while his loan club continues to struggle collectively. The result left Al-Khor with two defeats from two matches at the start of its Qatar Ligue 2 campaign.
Dabo started against Al-Kharaitiyat and put Al-Khor ahead in the eighth minute, scoring his first official goal for the club. Al-Kharaitiyat responded by turning the match around and won 3-1, leaving Al-Khor without a point after the opening two rounds. The team’s first match ended in a 3-0 loss to Al-Markhiya.
The goal nevertheless marked a positive step for Dabo after he played the full 90 minutes in the opening-day defeat. He joined Al-Shamal, a Qatar top-flight side, this summer before moving to Al-Khor on loan. The switch was intended to give him more regular playing time and support his development.
Dabo’s goal against Al-Kharaitiyat makes him decisive early in his new spell, even as Al-Khor searches for its first result. His scoring contribution came before the team’s second defeat and stands as the main individual gain from a difficult opening to the season.
