Ngapandouetnbu and Noukeu share Ligue 2 clean sheet

Cameroon goalkeepers Simon Ngapandouetnbu and Blondy Noukeu kept clean sheets as Montpellier drew with Boulogne.

Montpellier retained second place in Ligue 2 after being held by Boulogne, while the visitors remain 15th following another difficult start to the campaign. The result gave both Cameroon goalkeepers a clean sheet in a meeting between two members of the Indomitable Lions setup.

The fourth-round game at La Mosson finished 0-0. Simon Ngapandouetnbu started for Montpellier and Blondy Noukeu was selected by Boulogne. Both goalkeepers dealt with the main threats as neither attack produced the finish needed to break the deadlock.

Montpellier went into the fixture looking to build on their previous home victory over Dunkerque. Their position at the top end of the table was preserved, with eight points after four matches. Boulogne collected a third point but stayed 15th.

The hosts also had to manage the final stages with Theo Brusco sent off. Even with that numerical setback, Boulogne could not find a winner, while Montpellier were unable to turn their pressure into a decisive goal. The stalemate therefore extended the contrasting league situations: Montpellier remain among the leading sides, while Boulogne continue to search for a stronger run.
