NJ Ayuk joins ACG board to advance African sports hubs

NJ Ayuk joins African Collaborations Group’s advisory board to help develop integrated sports and entertainment hubs.

NJ Ayuk has joined the advisory board of African Collaborations Group (ACG), adding energy, infrastructure and legal expertise to the organisation’s plans for integrated sports and entertainment hubs across Africa. ACG is developing commercially viable, mixed-use projects intended to support the industrialisation of sport on the continent.

Ayuk is executive president of the African Energy Chamber, which represents energy companies, service providers, ministries and public authorities across Africa. He also founded and leads the Centurion Law Group, a pan-African business law firm advising governments, energy companies and financial institutions on complex energy and infrastructure transactions.

His appointment connects ACG’s sports strategy with a broader industrial development approach focused on African ownership, cross-border cooperation and financially sustainable projects. The group aims to move beyond isolated, project-by-project activity by building integrated ecosystems that combine sport and entertainment facilities with wider commercial uses.

Ayuk has written extensively on African energy policy, industrialisation and a fair energy transition. His books include “Big Barrels: African Oil and Gas and the Quest for Prosperity” and “A Just Transition: Making Energy Poverty History with an Energy Mix.” At ACG, his experience in government relations, regulation and transaction structuring will support the development of its sports and entertainment programme.
