OM supporter alleges sexual assault during Paris FC game

An OM fan says she was sexually assaulted during the Paris FC match and has contacted police and the Dodgers.

An Olympique de Marseille supporter says she was sexually assaulted at the Vélodrome during Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Paris FC. She has contacted police and informed the Dodgers supporters’ group, saying she wants action to prevent a repeat, including near children.

The woman has held a season ticket for 20 years and was seated in the North Stand close to the Dodgers’ banner, with her father beside her. She said a man sat behind her during the first half and repeatedly brushed against her. At half-time, while adjusting her shirt and sitting on the back of her seat, she noticed a wet substance on her fingers and found what she identified as semen on her shirt and the upper part of her trousers.

She and her father initially thought the substance could have been spit, but she later became convinced she had been assaulted. She was unable to wash during the interval and tried to follow the second half despite her father’s concern. After the final whistle, she went to the toilets before speaking to a female security worker, who told her that nothing could be done at that stage. She then left to meet her supporters’ bus.

She discussed the incident with other passengers and said she did not obtain a photograph of the alleged attacker. She described feeling deeply distressed and said she would continue pursuing the matter.
