Panthère delegation travels to Rwanda for CAF Cup tie
Panthère have left for Rwanda before their CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Rayon Sports on September 12, 2026.
Panthère have set off for Rwanda as preparations begin for their next CAF Confederation Cup assignment. The Cameroon club will face Rayon Sports on September 12, 2026, shifting its immediate attention from the domestic campaign to the continental competition.
The journey comes with Panthère occupying sixth place in Cameroon’s Elite One. They have taken 35 points from 26 matches, recording 10 victories, five draws and 11 defeats. Their league campaign has produced 32 goals, while they have conceded 26, leaving them six goals to the good.
Panthère’s latest sequence has produced mixed results, although the team enters the trip after a win. They opened the run with a 2-2 draw away to Aigle Royal before beating Aigle Royal de Moungo 4-0. Defeats followed against Dynamo de Douala, where they lost 1-0, and Victoria United, who won 2-1 against them. Panthère then responded with a 4-2 victory over Stade Renard.
That stretch leaves the club with two wins, one draw and two losses in its last five matches. The Rwanda fixture will be Panthère’s next opportunity to build on the Stade Renard result while competing outside the Cameroon league.
