Paul Seixas rises to fourth in UCI world rankings

Paul Seixas has reached a career-best fourth place in the UCI world rankings, strengthening his position among cycling’s leading riders at just 19. The Decathlon CMA CGM rider is now the highest-ranked Frenchman in almost five years, matching a level last reached by Julian Alaphilippe after his second world title.

Seixas moved up two places after taking second at the Grand Prix de Montréal. He has 5,038.71 points, while Tadej Pogacar, Remco Evenepoel and Isaac Del Toro remain ahead of him. The ranking also reflects the removal of points linked to last year’s Vuelta: Jonas Vingegaard fell to fifth and Tom Pidcock to sixth.

France has four riders inside the top 20. Lenny Martinez dropped three positions to 12th with 3,147.38 points, Romain Grégoire climbed five places to 17th on 2,385, and Paul Magnier stayed 19th with 2,325. Benoît Cosnefroy advanced six places to 26th, while Christophe Laporte moved one place to 27th.

Enric Mas made the biggest leap after winning his first Grand Tour in Madrid, jumping 225 places to 24th. Primoz Roglic, second in Spain, rose 56 places to 22nd. Felix Gall and Richard Carapaz also returned to the top 10, occupying ninth and 10th respectively.
