Rennes finalise Boulaye Dia arrival from Lazio

Rennes have finalised the arrival of Boulaye Dia, adding a centre-forward to their squad after his spell with Italian club SS Lazio. The move brings the 29-year-old Senegal and France international into Rennes’ plans, while the available player record still lists Lazio as his current club.

Dia’s recorded transfer history shows repeated movement between Lazio and Salernitana. Salernitana’s move to Lazio is listed at €11.30 million for 2026-27, following a Lazio-to-Salernitana switch in 2025-26 and a Salernitana-to-Lazio move in 2024-25. Before those deals, he joined Salernitana from Villarreal for €14.40 million in 2023-24.

The forward’s listed market value at Lazio is €5 million. His profile identifies him specifically as a centre-forward, giving Rennes an established player for the position as they complete the move. The medical record contains two entries for an ankle injury, a detail attached to his playing profile as he arrives at the French club.

Dia’s arrival is therefore the immediate change for Rennes, while his recent club history points to a player accustomed to moves between leagues and teams. No league-table or form data is supplied with the transfer information, so the sporting effect on Rennes’ position cannot be quantified here.
