Spain remain perfect as Harry Kane leads England

Spain completed four straight Nations League wins, while Harry Kane scored twice in England’s 3-0 victory over Czechia.

Spain maintained their flawless Nations League start with a comeback win in Croatia, while Harry Kane’s two goals helped England secure a clear victory over the Czech Republic in Group A3. Spain now have four wins from four matches, and England’s result was built around another influential display from their captain.

Croatia took control in Zagreb when Ivan Perišić scored in the 17th minute. The hosts protected that advantage until half-time, but Spain changed the course of the match after the interval. Mikel Merino came off the bench and struck twice, first in the 61st minute and then again in the 88th, completing a 2-1 victory for the visitors. The result preserves Spain’s perfect record and confirms their strong start to the group campaign.

England defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 after taking the lead through Vladimír Coufal’s own goal in the 27th minute. Kane extended the advantage shortly before half-time, scoring in the 40th minute, and added a second in the 57th. His brace gave England control of the match and turned a narrow early lead into a decisive result. The victory keeps England firmly in the contest in Group A3, with Kane again providing the finishing quality that separated the teams.

Elsewhere, Switzerland moved alone to the top of Group B1 on 12 points after beating North Macedonia 3-0. Fabian Rieder opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, before Johan Manzambi and Dan Ndoye completed the win with goals in the 73rd and 81st minutes.
