Vincent Duluc no longer invited to L’Équipe du Soir

Vincent Duluc is no longer part of the regular line-up on L’Équipe’s television channel, marking another high-profile departure after the programme’s return with a much smaller team. The football writer said on X that being omitted from the list of those no longer invited was almost insulting, while confirming that he had also been excluded.

L’Équipe du Soir resumed on Tuesday with Olivier Ménard presenting a reduced format. The show’s returning regulars include Virginie Sainsily, Pia Clemens, Dave Appadoo, Ludovic Obraniak and Vikash Dhorasoo, while several familiar contributors are absent. Duluc is among those who have not been retained.

A leading football writer at L’Équipe since joining the newspaper in 1995, Duluc had been a regular representative of its editorial team on the channel. His association with L’Équipe du Soir went back to the programme’s launch in September 2008.

Duluc’s role on screen differed from that of a conventional pundit. He was known for bringing narrative and historical context to football discussions rather than relying mainly on heated debate or technical analysis. His departure therefore removes one of the show’s long-standing editorial voices as the channel reshapes its panel.
