Gessime Yassine named Strasbourg’s August player

Gessime Yassine has been named the Crédit Agricole Alsace Vosges Player of the Month for August, giving the 20-year-old RC Strasbourg Alsace winger a club award at the start of the 2025-26 season. The recognition places Yassine among the club’s leading performers for the month.

Yassine plays on the right wing and holds Moroccan and French citizenship. He joined Strasbourg from USL Dunkerque in the 2025-26 campaign in a transfer valued at €7 million. His current market value at RC Strasbourg Alsace is listed at €12 million.

The move to Strasbourg followed a series of steps through French youth and senior football. Yassine moved from Istres FC’s under-17 side to its under-19 team in 2022-23, then transferred to Marignane G’s under-19 squad in the same campaign. In 2023-24, he left Marignane G for USL Dunkerque before making the €7 million move to Strasbourg for 2025-26.

The August award marks a monthly distinction for a player still early in his senior career. At 20, Yassine is now established at Strasbourg as a right-sided attacking option, with his club recognition coming alongside a listed €12 million valuation.
