Inter Milan rally past Udinese as Thuram and Bonny lead

Inter Milan maintained its perfect Serie A record by overturning a two-goal deficit against Udinese, with Marcus Thuram and A. Bonny helping drive the comeback. The victory gave Cristian Chivu’s side an immediate response after its Champions League defeat by Real Madrid and kept Inter in contention at the top of the league.

Udinese struck twice inside the opening 16 minutes through Abankwah and Ekkelenkamp. Carlos Augusto reduced the deficit in the 26th minute before Nicolo Barella levelled nine minutes later. Thuram completed the turnaround in the 58th minute, finishing after a combination with Diouf, and Pio Esposito added Inter’s fifth in the 74th minute for a 5-3 result.

Bonny, a 22-year-old centre-forward with Ivorian and French citizenship, joined Inter from Parma for €23 million during the 2025/26 season. His presence alongside Thuram underlined the attacking options behind Inter’s fourth win in four league matches.

The match also brought disruption for Inter. John Stones went off after suffering a thigh problem, while Kolarov, an assistant to Chivu, was sent off in the first half following protests from the bench. Udinese goalkeeper Okoye kept the visitors in contention with several saves before Inter finally secured the points.
