Lindsey Vonn confirms relationship with Matthieu Bailet

Lindsey Vonn has confirmed that she is in a relationship with French skier Matthieu Bailet, ending several months of speculation. The American, 41, included a photograph of the pair kissing in an Instagram gallery looking back at her summer. The announcement comes as she continues rehabilitation after a serious fall at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics in February.

Vonn and Bailet, 30, were first linked in the spring after being seen together in New York. Their outings included Soho, the subway and a Broadway performance of The Outsiders. Bailet later responded to Vonn’s Instagram post with a comment expressing his anticipation for a second instalment and adding a kissing emoji.

Bailet, who comes from Nice, has competed in the World Cup since 2016 and focuses on downhill and super-G, the same speed events associated with Vonn. His only World Cup podium came in the super-G at Saalbach in March 2021, when he finished second. He ended that season 28th overall and 11th in downhill. The Frenchman won the junior world and French super-G titles in 2016, placed seventh in the event at the 2021 world championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo and finished 27th in Olympic downhill at Beijing 2022. Vonn previously had high-profile relationships with skier Thomas Vonn, golfer Tiger Woods, Kenan Smith, hockey player P.K. Subban and entrepreneur Diego Osorio, whom she dated from 2021 to 2025.
